THE MEMORIES

Anneke and Eric

I have known David for years through our mutual hobby waterpolo. As a photographer he covered all the major waterpolo matches and tournaments and I saw that he had great skill in capturing the moment of action.

David had heard from mutual friends that Erik and I were going to get married and mentioned that he also was a wedding photographer. We were already looking at the wide variety of possible choices in styles in “wedding photography-land”.

A couple of months before W-Day, we met up to go through David’s portfolio on iPad, which gave us a good impression of his previous work covering weddings, parties etc. We immediately liked his style and approach, so one of the many decisions during the wedding planning process was taken with great ease!

Several weeks before our wedding we did an engagement shoot in the Hortus of Amsterdam. We were very nervous as we are no naturals before the camera. The engagement shoot was a very good way to get the feeling of what it is like to pose and to connect with the photographer in a natural way. In the end we have an extra set of beautiful pictures of us as a couple in a place special to us and we believe it has improved the quality of our wedding photo’s as well because you know what to expect of posing.

On our wedding day David took pictures of all the preparations (of which “the shoe picture” is the most noteworthy). This has given us a great overview of all that happened during the day. We were overwhelmed by all the emotions and attention of family and friends, so the photos make us able to re-live the whole day. Before the ceremony started we did a photo shoot, which was great, though standing on a rail of a bridge on high heels is a bit scary!! The result is very much worth it and not like your ordinary picture!

David, we just want to thank you for your professionalism: blending in the background and capturing all those special moments. Thank you for the wonderful photos of our “perfect day”. We highly recommend you!
